Facebook is in now people! Much better than friendster in my opinion. But erm, I didn't get the chance to figure out how to explore it. At the moment, I'm just accepting whatever my friends giving me the applications. It's not that I don't want to know how to use it. It just that my mind is not at peace. Too many things happening around me and it's awful. No point of crying, just have to live up and be strong.

Worse, September is ending soon! I can't believe that 2007 is almost over. huwaaa~~

emOtioNs..

It's has been an emotional weekend recently.Sometimes I just don't get men. Why do they gives us high hopes in relationship?Are they trying to take advantage of us? Or maybe for their 'fun' sake? Sometimes it just not right to give false hope on women. Especially emotional women.

This is how I see things happening around me. Man meets woman. Get to know each other. Going 'fast track' in a sudden. Then try to slow things down. The next thing you know, he's gone. He's simply not a man for once. He shouldn't go too fast in 'getting to know' stage. He should have take it easy..I mean, why are you rushing?Scared that she'll be taken away by someone better than you. Is that how things should go?

I've seen a few of my friends experiecing that phase. I just thought that it's unfair to treat women that way. I would prefer if he's being simple. Simple as in, we(man & woman) know whats going on between us instead of wondering 'is he into me?are we friends or more than that?'. If the man/woman clarify how they want things to be,it's fine. At least you know where you're heading to. But if he/she is so indecisive, then might as well you 'widen your options'. Unless you manage to change his/her mind in relationship.

Oh well,life is not perfect. Sometimes, everything happens for a reason.sigh~

Im still figuring out on how can you tell him that he's the one? I mean long-term relationship, doesn't mean you're meant to be with each other. Some cases it falls apart too. I'm not sure why. But erm, I guess the only way to know that he's the one would be:

• able to commit.
• sacrifices for you.
• support you financially(doesn't have to be filthy rich, he might look for wifey no2!) & emotionally.
• loves you sanely(hehehe, who knows..you wouldn't want to end up with a lunatic,right?)
• know how to appreciate you

Happy Anniversary!!

Happy 3 Years anniversary to all Dublin Business School(DBS) Batch 2004/2005!!

Back in 20.09.2004, there were 72 of us arrived dublin to pursue BA(Hons) Accounting & Finance at Dublin Business School. We graduated in 2005, average 30 of us left to Malaysia to pursue their career & life.

Left average 40 of us here, working & studying ACCA, some already affliate, some already married (Congrats to newly weds Erin, Azli/Tempe & Kak Wani).

Is there any celebration? Well, we are busy emailing to each other..discussing on having our anniversary at Najib's house this weekend.Most likely the dress code would be Malaysia traditional clothes-so that we can take the whole batch picture & send it to utusan :D

I can't believe that I'm already here for 3 years!! Anyhow, I'm not sure when is the time to go home for good. Another 2 years?5?..maybe 10???ok..maybe 10 is too much..but who knows right?

Best of luck to everyone still in Dublin and in Malaysia. May our friendship grow stronger day by day.Cheers everyone! :)

Gain or Lose???

Do you gain or lose weight during fasting? It's hard to tell when I keep having big dinner. Like yesterday I had Japanese food with my friends. What do I gain in the end?stomach-ache.ahahaha..that's for having too much food for break-fasting! Anyway, we'll see how it goes in after a week of fasting :D

Monday(17.09) was my first day of fasting in Ramadan..is it worth getting up at 4am to have supper(sahur)?definitely! Why? Because we start fasting at 515am & break fasting at 745pm. Thankfully, day by day dawn will be later & sun set will be more earlier. By the end of Ramadan, we most likely to fast from 6am to 630pm.damn, we missed the daylight saving timezone this year! Dont forget next year fasting...we'll be experiecing more longer hours! Geesh..I wonder how my dear fren azzuhri survive fasting in summer...for now he's lucky as he gets to experience fasting during winter, rather than me during summer! huwaa =(

Bazaar? well, the bazaar held at Malaysia hall. The sellers are mostly chef. My friend told me the foods were expensive! She brought us home the foods. Well, I wouldn't say their food 'sedap nak mati'. They are just plain..so plain than I can cook too! Unfortunately, due to my tireness from work & classes, getting the foods from bazaar might save up our (me & other working people) time cooking for break fasting. Well, the bottom line, I miss Malaysia's Ramadan bazaar! raya 2008 in Malaysia perhaps? :D

I called my best friend last weekend. She's getting engaged end this year & married next year. I just realise that most of my school friends are getting married next year! So far, most of my girlfriends are getting married, not the guys. I'm assuming the guys are taking it easy coz they are too young to get married at 25..right? I keep playing in my mind

'Why the rush?Marriage is a huge commitment!Be cool!When my prince charming propose to me (after I finished my ACCA),then I'll have my happiest day.Save the best for last! :D'

OK, I think i better stop having fantasies, coz I better make sure to finish my ACCA. I mean someone is waiting for me, waiting to propose me...ok,case close =p (fyi, Leo memang kuat berangan! =p)

So far classes are ok. Got 3 questions for homework.(WOW!)..have to submit by this Saturday. Saturday got classes again..sigh..well, at least I have something to do.

Ok, gotta split. Back to work.counting down the hours to break fast..5.5hours to go! =p

Fasting in Dublin

This year, our first day of Ramadhan falls on today 13 September 2007, which is the same date as my dear housemate cik mira's 23rd Birthday.Happy Birthday to her!

Start fasting at 4.50am and it'll ends at 7.40pm(if not mistaken). Had chicken rendang for dinner & 'sahur' yesterday.FYI, I'm not fasting due to women's thingy ;)

This will be our first longer hours of fasting here compare to Malaysia hours. I wish I'm in Malaysia now..can go to pasar ramadhan. But I guess it would be nice to cook for someone who is craving for kuey tiau today..kan? =p

still waiting for zuen to burn our holidays at stockholm,sweden. So will post the 'post' as soon as the pics are ready :D

Love vs Infatuation

What, then, is the elusive thing called "Love" that everyone so desperately needs? Sometimes, we sort of like this girl because she is beautiful? Or the girl likes him because he is handsome? But this kind of "Cinderella Syndrome" when the girl is waiting on her Prince Charming, is not real love. It is better known as "Infatuation", and there is a vast difference between it and real love. Enumerated here below are the differences. Find out if you are really in love and not just infatuated.

Infatuation
Infatuation is a feeling; real love involves a commitment also. Infatuation is just love of emotion. Real love though, is love of devotion. Only the emotions are affected in infatuation, but in real love both the Emotions and the Will are involved.

Next, a person "fall into" infatuation, but "grows into"real love. Gentlemen, have you ever seen a girl who was so beautiful that you thought you'd faint? This is infatuation. It is based totally on physical attraction; Often you don't know much in-depth about the person you so-called love. Thus infatuation is mostly biological.

Also remember, never tell a woman you love her, unless you are willing to marry her. Then, infatuation is basically selfish where real love is basically selfless. Infatuation is more interested in satisfying yourself and your "feelings" than it is in the other person.

Real love is primarily interested in the other person. It seeks to give instead of get. Love unselfishly seeks the highest good for the other person.

Lastly, infatuation is weakened by time and separation where real love is strengthened by time and separation. This does not mean that there will be no pain in separation. On the contrary, there is great pain in separation if you are truly in love.

Love
Now you understand what is infatuation, let us now go on to discuss about Love.

1. Love is Patient
The word translated "patient" means to wait patiently for the fulfillment of expectations. When you have difficulty dating this girl and she does not want to come out of her shell, if you truly love her, you will not complain and blame her, you must look at the situation from her point of view – maybe she is having some problems which prevented her from coming out. You must react to it with patience and understanding.Have you ever met someone you liked so much that you wanted to push the relationship and make it progress faster? Sure you have! Love, however, Love is willing to give the relationship time to grow at a natural pace. It does not push but is willing to wait for the relationship to grow at a rate that is satisfactory to both parties.

2. Love is Kind
Love seeks to encourage and build up on others. It respects the feelings and emotions of others. It finds its greatest satisfaction in making others happy, i.e.Compliment one another, magnify the other's strength, Listen to one another. Pay close attention to what each of you has to say and make each other feel that what each says is important, etc.

3. Love is not Jealous
Jealousy usually indicates an insecure and immature heart. Love wants the best for others, but jealousy is possessive. Jealous is reflected in the childish statement, "If he is going to talk to her, then he can just forget about me!" Often, one person wants to totally possess the other and to restrict her relationships with others.

4. Love is not to Brag
Love is not a windbag and is not anxious to impress. Often, a guy will brag to a girl, trying to impress her so that she will like him. A truly great person, however, does not need to exalt himself. Others will exalt him.

5. Love is not Arrogant
Love is not conceited, boastful, cocky or stuck up. Love, instead, is humble and has a servant attitude . Sometimes, a guy may come across to a girl with an "I can take you or leave you" attitude. His demeanor implies, "You ought to be thankful that somebody as neat as me is dating you". Of course this is not love.

6. Love always Covers
This word cover means to pass over in silence, to keep confidential. Love is patient with faults of others. It doesn't criticize or broadcast to the world the faults of others. Love is present even when it knows the other is not perfect .

7. Love always Perseveres
Love always stands its ground and holds out . It will outlast anything. It will even love on the face of unreturned love. Real love will last through all sorts of trials, tribulations and stresses.

8. Love is not Provoked
This means that love has a long fuse. It does not become irritated andangry. It is not easily offended. Love does not seek its own. This isthe heart of love. Love is other-centered not self-centered. Love says, "I love you, I want to give you." Selfishness says, "I love you, I want you!"

9. Love does not act
Unbecomingly This means that love does not behave disgracefully, dishonorably, or indecently. It does not embarrass others by its actions. It is characterized by tact and sensitivity. This also means that love should have good manners. Be sure to do little things like opening doors for your girl or offering her your arm when you walk together.

10. Love is Forgiving
Lastly, this is a MUST for a successful love story. If a guy is not willing to forgive and forget when his girlfriend is only an hour late, he is not exhibiting love. Love doesn't hold grudges when it has been wronged. It doesn't remain resentful.

Getting there?
There are many ways to get to Skansen. It´s situated on the island of Djurgården in the middle of Stockholm. From the Central station there´s bus 47 that takes you to Skansen. Bus 44 runs the route Tekniska högskolan - Karlaplan - Skansen. One way to reach Skansen is to enjoy a ride on one of the heritage trams (route 7) from Norrmalmstorg or Nybroplan. Tram runs all weekends from March to mid December and daily in summer.A ferry line goes regularly from Slussen/Söder/Gamla stan all year round, and in the summertime there is an additional ferry line fromNybroplan and one from Hammarby Sjöstad, Södermalm and Saltsjökvarn to Djurgården that operates daily between august 5 - october 8.Going by car is not recommended since it´s difficult to find parking space on Djurgården and traffic is quite heavy in the rush-hour.But Skansen is not very far from the center of Stockholm and it´s equally possible to walk which gives you a very nice tour on foot on the waterfront

Gamla Stan (The Old Town)

The Royal Palace
With 608 rooms, the Stockholm Royal Palace is the biggest palace in the world still used by a head of state - King Carl XVI Gustav. The palace houses several of the greatest and most interesting sights in Stockholm - the Royal Apartments, the Hall of State, the Apartments of the Orders of Chivalry, the Treasury, the Tre Kronor Palace Museum, the Armoury and the Museum of Antiquities of Gustav III. The Changing of the Guards ceremony takes place Wednesdays and Saturdays at 12.00 and on Sundays and public holidays at 13.00.
The palace has been built on top of the foundations of a previous medieval castle - Tre Kronor (Three Crowns), dating back to the mid 13th century - which was ravaged by fire in 1697. The remnants of the old castle can be seen in the Tre Kronor Palace Museum. The construction of the new palace lasted for 57 years, from 1697 to 1754 and was the largest single construction project in Europe during this time. The Royal Apartments are magnificent, ranging in style from baroque to rococo to Gustavian neo-classisism, like the Pillar Hall shown here, and on to the eclectic styles of the 19th century.

The Cathedral

Swedish language
The four major Scandinavian languages - Danish, Swedish, Norwegian and Icelandic are closely related. They are all Germanic languages, just like English, but have slowly drifted apart during the last 1000 years. Before that, the Vikings spoke a language believed to resemble Icelandic, which - along with German - came to influence English prior to the Normand conquest in 1066. Quite a few words are similar, particularly those describing old concepts such as "hus" = "house", "väg" = "way", "träd"="tree", "sköld"="shield", "båt"="boat" etc.
The languages have played an important role in creating and preserving national identity. Finnish, on the other hand, is not a Germanic language, and is completely different from the others. While a Swede, a Norwegian and a Dane often understand each other fairly well in a conversation and decipher written Icelandic, none of them would understand a Finn. In cases like that, English is likely to be used. (It should be kept in mind, though, that a fairly large minority of people in Finland have Swedish as their native tongue and many people in the country understand both Finnish and Swedish).
Sweden has been a homogenous country for a long time in terms of language. It was heavily influenced by German (merchants) during the 13th through 17th centuries, by French in the 18th century (when the aristocracy spoke French with each other as a sign of good breeding) and by English from the 20th and on.
The Swedish word for travel agent, "resebyrå" can serve as an example. It is composed of the German word for journey, "Reise", and the French word for office, "bureau", with a simplified spelling. By contrast, remote and culturally isolated Iceland has ingeniously created its entirely own word, "Ferdaskriftstofa" by combining the old Norse word for trip "ferd" ("färd" in Swedish), with the old Germanic word for a writing "Schrift", ("skrift" in Swedish), and finally the old Norse word for a small house "stofa" ("stuga in Swedish"), to describe the place where writings for the journey are made.

With the exception of Sami and Finnish speaking minorities in the north, Swedish was used everywhere. It is still the predominant language by far but the situation today is somewhat more complex. Because of immigration in the second half of the 20th century, many foreign languages are now represented and they are frequently used within the immigrant groups respectively. This is particularly true, of course, for those immigrants who have arrived in recent years. In addition, immigrant children also have the opportunity to learn their native language at their Swedish school. Despite the manifolds of languages, Swedish keeps its position as unchallenged official and common language.
One of the minority languages, Sami, is spoken by Sweden's oldest ethnic minority, the Sami. The area, historically related to this group of people, can be found in northern Sweden, as well as in northern Finland and Norway. Today, however, many of them have moved to southern Sweden and Stockholm is sometimes said to be "the largest Sami settlement in Sweden". The native tongue of the Sami is not related to Swedish. However, the Sami people have become bilingual in the process of adaption.
English is taught as a compulsory secondary language in Swedish schools. Since Sweden has become a stronghold of American popular culture, English is also learned to a large extent through TV, music, and films, which are always shown with subtitles and never dubbed.
Tourists from Britain or the US may be surprised at the number of Anglicisms in use today. Sometimes this urge to 'sound English' even becomes a bit ridiculous. A foreigner who wants to buy a Sony Walkman, for instance, should ask for a freestyle.
As English is taught in Swedish schools from the fourth grade, almost all Swedes speak and understand English. Moreover, many Swedes will also know German and some will know French and, a few, Italian and Spanish.

-SSJ 95 Reunion yang best!
Thanks a lot to Sidek and the gang(siti,zufazleen,sharain,aziati and shahn.. er nevermind) for successfully organised the SRK Sri Subang Jaya Class of '95 Reunion held at the Strawberry Fields restaurant, Subang Parade. 49 ex-SSJ '95 were present. Finally, after nearly four months since Sidek came up with the reunion idea, we manage to make it happen! The timing of the event too was just nice, as all the IPTAs are currently on a mid term break and most of the overseas students too are back in Malaysia.

Everything were great! Foods! Long lost friends!!! Lucky draws! and most important of all, i took lOotS of pictures!(you know me,right). At first I'm kinda worried that this event might turn out to be dull and quiet, but thanks to Sidek for making it a 'ceria' and a happening one! Hahha.
Here's in brief of the whole event, besides filling up our stomachs;
-Of course, we chit chat a lot about those good ol' days back in SSJ, although most of us can hardly remembers much! but i do. hahaha.
-Lucky draw was the most 'kecoh' event! hahaha. Biasalah kan, mana ada cabutan bertuah semua orang duduk senyap aje. I didn't won any though but still enjoyed myself bikin kecoh with everyone. ehe
-Sidek sang a Tagalog song, which of course no one understood, wahaha :p
(Well, at least he showed some courage for that! hahhah. since no one wanna volunteer to perform :p)
-Liyana,Suraya and Aizad arrived at 6.40pm! hahha. Everyone had already left by then except for a few of us. Thanks for dropping by you guys. Ingatkan tak jadi datang dah. :D
-Last but not least. Sadly we were short of over two hundred Ringgit because of few people who had already confirmed earlier but didn't came. Nasib baiklah ade suraya yang sudi membantu.

The only minor dissapointment for me were that few of my old friends whom i really really wanted them to come couldn't attend due to some personal reasons and such(takpe2 aku memahami..hehe), like Nik Faris, Amri, Asrif(dandut), Mahmud, Fazli, Liyana Aidira, Azhari, Nazrin and few others. Most of them i considered the 'Orang Kuat' Sri Subang Jaya. Hahah.
Sape tak kenal Nik, ketua pengawas. Sape tak kenal Mahmud yang gila-gila tu dan kaki buli sekolah! hahha.. Azhari pulak, striker no.1 sekolah. hehe..
Nevertheless, I'm still happy that Zaidi and the gang, namely the budak-budak ss14 like Saad(seriously, i missed him a lot,man!),Azam(Ozog),Shah,Zaid and few others (budak-budak SU) came.

Once again i'd like to thank all these people who were present yesterday;

Thanks everyone! SSJ Class of '95 Reunion Hi-Tea was certaintly THE event of the year for me.

Remark:I just wanna post this as remembrance. My first primary school reunion I've ever been.FYI,I won a lucky draw!hahaha.If this took place in August 2004, I must be quite busy with my preparation leaving to Dublin,Ireland (yeah right, I think that time I was busy figuring out how to celebrate my birthday with my bf!hahaha!)

Anyway,it was fun & really look forward to meet these people again.I heard that there will be another alumni sometime this year, but I'm not sure when is it.huhu~

But the big q here would be 'When am I coming home?'

Maybe next year ;)

Happy Birthday Sue!

Brief History:
We (Sue/Suriani & I) were in the same school since primary school. That time we are the 'hi bye' type of friends. Later we went to same secondary school. We learn to talk more compare to primary school. When we were form 4, she went to MRSM Berseri while I remain there (SMSJ). After SPM, I can hardly believed that we were going to the same college!Our friendship began stronger from college(KYPMKL), and bee (Hasbe Zuraiti) came along. The three of us have been together like..6 years! They are everything to me. Also they were my assignment-mates for 3years in msia, including Najib(Sue's bf).ehehe.

On this very important day for her, we managed to celebrate together at Baan Thai,Ballbridge,Dublin 4. The foods were brilliant!We had Tom Yum,Jumbo Prawn with sweet chilli & garlic,sea bass with 3 flavoured sauce, mixed vegetables & prawn pad thai. Not forgeting our dessert, Strawberry Tiramisu from M&S (Bee & I manage to hide it from Sue). She was totally surprised as she didn't expect to have a cake from us.

Thank you najib for buying us dinner.It's also nice to get together again.

Oh ya,we continued laughing at the restaurant. This is because of my blurness. When we were about to leave the restaurant, I saw a sling bag next to my chair.Honestly, I really thought someone left his/her bag.I was concern as someone must have been forgotten to bring it home. Then najib couldn't help himself,laughing at me and said 'That's my bag la!LOL!!'. Damn.I honestly didn't realise that he brought his bag.(I can't believe I'm writing this blog & laughing thinking of it at the same time!LOL!). Later, he forgot about his jacket. Luckily sue saw the jacket. Then I told him sarcastically 'Looks like someone has forgotten his jacket.Nice,aight?Think that I'm gonna sell this jacket!LOL!'

It was a fun night for all four of us. Wish that we could do that again, like the old days we had been through~~
