10 Traits Men Look for in a Girlfriend

Our mission: To find out exactly what men are looking for in a good girlfriend.

Impossible? Not exactly. We simply turned to Lisa Daily, syndicated relationship columnist and author of
Stop Getting Dumped, who promises to help readers find and marry "the one" in three years or less. Daily followed her own advice and married her dream man, who proposed at the top of the Eiffel Tower after a six-month courtship. Now, she is determined to help other single gals do the same. A dating guru, Daily interviewed — and continues to do so — hundreds of bachelors to find out what makes a woman marriage material in this day and age. Here, Daily dishes about the 10 traits every man is looking for in a serious girlfriend:

1. She has a life of her own and it's pretty good to boot. Ladies, this means that you take care of yourself, pay attention to your personal style and find time to hang with your fabulous friends and family. You seek adventure by traveling. And you take in life's pleasures — from indulging in dessert to walking through the park on a sunny day. "You don't expect your boyfriend to be your entire existence," says Daily. In other words, you're not waiting for some man to show up, so you can get your "real life" started.

2. She never makes the first move. This issue has been debated to death, and there is no true consensus. But Daily says that she strongly believes women should never, ever pursue a man. Instead, she suggests waiting for the man to initiate and plan dates. Her reasoning: If the woman is always the one calling, she will never know if he is really interested in her or if it's just convenient for him. She may find herself questioning the relationship every step of the way. Men simply aren't programmed to think like that and therefore are better suited to the chase, Daily says.

3. She is sexy without being trampy. This means something different at the beginning of the relationship than it does down the road, Daily says. In the beginning of courtship, a woman should refrain from making any comments that are overtly sexual. She also flirts by using nonsexual touch like placing her hand on his forearm or even the knee but only briefly. When the relationship gets more serious, and presumably more intimate, sexual touch and public displays of affection are more appropriate. At this point, it's okay to play footsie under the table.

4. She waits to have sex. Yes, the sexual revolution arrived long ago and few people expect a "pure white bride" nowadays. But sex is still a pretty big step for couples. Daily says that many women don't even realize just how much sex changes the dynamics of a relationship. When women have sex, they release a hormone called oxytocin (also referred to as "the cuddle hormone"), which some scientific researchers believe makes women feel extra warm and fuzzy for their sex partners. Daily warns that if women do the deed too soon, they might make too much of a relationship that barely ever existed outside of the bedroom. When you inflate the significance of a relationship, the man often bolts. Daily's advice is to wait at least one month into the relationship before having sex with your new man.

5. She does little things to show she cares. Daily has one friend who noticed that her traveling salesman boyfriend never had time to get his shirts washed, so he would just go out and buy new ones. Her friend started to drop off his laundry at the dry cleaners once a week. Daily herself cooks for her husband. "It's as if he doesn't even know where the kitchen is," she says. "But that's not to say that he starves when I'm out of town." No, you do not have to turn into June Cleaver. The bottom line is that you should want to do the little things that let him know you care and you are paying attention to his individual needs. And he should do the same for you. Daily boasts that her man scrapes the ice off her windshield on cold winter mornings!

6. She should be her boyfriend's best wingman err, wing woman. Help him to look good in front of the boss, advises Daily. Laugh at his jokes and help him shine when it is important. Of course, again, he should do the same for you.

7. She never turns on the pressure. This one is important. Men have a distinct aversion to any sort of pressure, says Daily. Therefore, women should avoid calling and/or emailing him many times during the day or dropping hints about the future. In fact, keep the dreaded M-word (marriage) out of your vocabulary all together. "Men don't want to constantly take the pulse of a relationship," says Daily. "They would rather just enjoy it."

8. She does not take any crap — from anyone. A good woman never accepts bad behavior. Guys respect women with whom they can't get away with anything. If he knows there's a penalty — like getting thrown to the curb — for a serious violation like cheating, he'll respect you more, and he will be far less likely to do it. You should also never even bother to date married men, those who already have girlfriends or anyone who verbally or physically threatens or abuses you. Period.

9. A good woman always chooses a good man. That means that you should look for someone who is honest and dependable. He has to treat you right. If he says he is going to be somewhere, he is there. Chivalry is not dead, by the way. "Good manners are a deeper window into what kind of man he truly is," Daily says. You should also have compatible views on money (which is the number one thing couples fight about). Even though they say opposites attract, savers should think twice before shacking up with wild spenders.

10. She knows that love is the biggest part of the mating equation. Just how does a good woman know that she has found that crazy-for-you, toe-curling relationship? Daily says that some women have an "a-ha" moment, while love simply sneaks up on the rest. "I believe the feeling includes a unique sense of comfort and acceptance and the feeling that someone else's happiness is as important to you as your own," Daily says. "A certain amount of toe curling is key as well."

Song of the week =)

Last Night

[Diddy:]
Last night,
I couldn't even get an answer.
Tried to call,
but my pride wouldn't let me dial.
And I'm sitting here,
with this blank expression.
And the way I feel,
I wanna curl up like a child.

I know you can hear me
I know you can feel me
I can't live without you
God please make me better
I wish I wasn't the way I am

[Keyshia:]
If I told you once, I told you twice,
you can see it in my eyes.
I'm all cried out,
with nothing to say.
You're everything I wanted to be.
If you could only see,
your heart belongs to me.
I love you so much, I'm yearning for your touch.
Come and set me free,
forever yours I'll be,
baby won't you come and take this pain awayyyyy.

[Diddy:]
Last night,
I couldn't even get an answer.
Tried to call,
but my pride wouldn't let me dial.
And I'm sitting here,
with this blank expression.
And the way I feel,
I wanna curl up like a child.

[Keyshia:]
I need you,
and you need me.
This is so plain to see,
and I will never let you go and,
I will always love you so.
I will...
If you could only see,
your heart belongs to me.
I love you so much, I'm yearning for your touch.
Come and set me free,
forever yours I'll be,
baby won't you come and take this pain awayyyyy.

[Diddy:]
Last night,
I couldn't even get an answer.
Tried to call,
but my pride wouldn't let me dial.
And I'm sitting here,
with this blank expression.
And the way I feel,
I wanna curl up like a child.

[Diddy:]
Tell me the words to say,
to make you come back,
and work me like that.
And if it matters I'll rather stay home,
with you I'm never alone.
Don't want to wait till you're gone,
let me be, just don't leave me.

[Diddy:]

Tried to call,

I'm so alone I'm soooo lonelyyyyy,

Why don't you pick the phone,
and dial up my number,
and call me a baby,
I'm waiting on you.

Why don't you pick the phone,
and dial up my number,
just call me a baby,
I'm waiting on you.

[Phone dialing and ringing]

[Diddy:]
Hello
Hey waz-up
I've been tryin' to reach you all night
That shit ain't funny not picking up the mutha fucking phone
Better stop fucking playing with a nigga's feelings like that
You know how much I love you though right?
But for them couple of seconds though,
When I couldn't get in touch with you.
I'm ready to come over your house and shoot that mutha fucker up
You better fucking not be there when I get over that house
[laughing]
That's really how it goes down right?

FREEdom wRiters...

Feel free to write anything you want.Love,culture,religion,politics,economics..you named it. People will definitely read what you're crapping about. It's the originality counts. OK OK...why am I crapping out here??

Here's the thing..yesterday i went out with my friends to watch Freedom Writer. I'll definitely gives two thumb up as it's one hell BRILLIANT MOVIE. It's based on a true story and I find this movie emotional. But this is not the lovey dovey kind of movie. I salute Erin Gruwell (Hillary Swank) for able to change her students mentality about respect & unite among multi-racial gangbangers.I'll definitely gonna grab the book in the bookstore =)

After watching the movie, I felt like to write anything I want, just like the freedom writers.LOL! It just that you'll find relieved after you kept things from yourself. Honestly, I find that movie is trying to encourage people to write. Don't get discouraged because you're not good in spelling, grammar & vocabulary. It's the only way to improve English (and that applies to me too :P). So, what you're waiting for? START WRITING A JOURNAL/BLOG!

-----end of the 'freedom writing' session-----

OK, how am I doing so far now? To be honest, I'm lying on my bed and sick. I felt awful as I REALLY DO WANT to see ME TO YOU bear at Eason, O'Connell St bUt no luck for me today as I having a fever with headaches and shivering. Most of my plans for today have to be cancelled due to my weakness sickness to go out. Dublin has been crazy lately.Sometimes it's warm, sometimes it cold without any warning. Not surprise that many people are ill now. This is the time when I feel I need him so much to be around. Sometimes I just don't understand men. Men can be unpredictable and unbelievable sometimes. All I can ask for now is that men should know what women want.

What type of guy am I looking for? This is what I told to my dearest friend on the phone. He has to be in these criteria
in order to be with him. Criteria I am talking about:

  1. MATURITY
It's important for him to be matured as he'll soon to be the 'boss' in the house. He has to decide what's need to be done, this and that..etc etc..He doesn't have to be king control. If he likes that, how on earth are you gonna impress your family? Only you can be certain whether he's matured or not. Eg. discussion on any topics and see how he talks about it.

  2. FINANCIALLY STABLE
He doesn't has to be some big shot to be financially stable. I know men fear women after them for money. As long as he has enough funds for family and leisure, it's okay. It's highly important that he's NOT STINGY to you! You're getting yourself into trouble if you do. If he's filthy rich, WATCH HIM OUT! You wouldn't want him to get a second wife!! And it's not fun and 'sharing is caring'. I'll kill him if that happen to me :p

  3. LOVE
You have to love him in order to be with him. I'm not sure how you define love. Being with him without love is like being a plant without soil. You need to be connected with him.

  4. ETC ETC
You named what your other criteria.I'm not telling mine! :p

So I heard my friends are getting married this year. When is my turn? First and foremost, I want to get married BEFORE 30! And .. I don't see myself getting married very soon. Well, let Allah the Almighty decides about life and time to time. What's important now, live life to the fullest as single(as in marital status: single) before entering marriage life. It's not easy to be single too actually as so many things to think about. Oh well, that's life~

Have a good weekend people! =D

Stressful Week~

Yeah, u bet I had a bad week. THe results came out last monday, I opened after work. It didnt went well as I expected. I understands why some of us find it difficult to pass. To few my friends who nailed it, congrats to them. Im still taking this jun's exam, but this time I decided to drop 3.1 audit & taking 3.3 performance mgt. I had enough of 2 reading subjects, too hectic for me. Furthermore, Im not a reading academic book much. I prefer calculations rather than reading. It's not like I dont like to read, I do..really. It just that I prefer interesting novels/fictions rather than history books. I hate history :p

Im working on this particular client, his information was done in SAGE line 50. It tooks ages for me to figure out where to pick up the information needed(I usually use SAGE Production). Worse, after I gather the information needed, the prev year audit file was a wreck!Luckily I have the accounts done, but if you were in my shoes, you'll get what I mean the stress I've been having this week.amending the working papers, analysing the prev and current accounts.Im have no idea why I choose to become auditor.LOL!

On Wednesday, I went to DUblin Business School(DBS) for the registration ACCA classes. Met a lots of my friends there. At the counter, the admin ppl gave me a bitchy look (well, she's a bitch anyway).I mean, Im tired too, I came straight from work and she doesnt need to give that look. Worse, my credit card didnt go through(fyi-I've paid my credit card). Even other people have the same prob regarding the credit card, the one that went through are ppl who paid by laser/debit cards. I dont have any of that card, unlucky me then. Worst, she asked me to come back and pay the fees. HELLO! I have already filled up the credit card details in the enrollment form and she cant make the transaction from there?stupid bitch! I cant get my notes and books either because I havent pay the fees. Fine then,I pick it up before the classes start.Still have plenty of time..sigh~

So, how to release stress?hrmm..will figure out what to do on weekends.the leandlord is coming tomorrow. Luckily he lets us renew the lease agreement. Too tired to moved out to other place. Anyway, my apt is cosy & very centralised. Why bother to move out anyway?

oh,did i mention earlier that im sick this whole week?how worse can it be this week? :(

Ok, back to work...cant wait till 5pm! Have a good weekend! :)

This music keeps playing on my mind~

Title: Say It Right
Album: Loose
Artist: Nelly Furtado

In the day
In the night
Say it right
Say it all
You either got it
Or you don't
You either stand or you fall
When your will is broken
When it slips from your hand
When there's no time for joking
There's a hole in the plan

Oh you don't mean nothing at all to me
No you don't mean nothing at all to me
Do you got what it takes to set me free
Oh you could mean everything to me

I can't say that I'm not lost and at fault
I can't say that I don't love the light and the dark
I can't say that I don't know that I am alive
And all of what I feel I could show
You tonite you tonite

From my hands I could give you
Something that I made
From my mouth I could sing you another brick that I laid
From my body I could show you a place God knows
You should know the space is holy
Do you really want to go?

Sick & Reward

I've been not in a good condition like a week ago. Sunday got worst, so I decided to go to see the doctor the next day.According to him, I'm having viral infection due to diarrhea and food poisoning. So I CANT EAT spicy and greasy food for the time being. Eat very small portion meal. Great, have to control because if I overeat, I'll throw up everything I had. Good way for diet BUT torturing!!damn..no dairy food except for low fat products. Got 4 days sick leave for this week. Is it good or bad news for me for not working this week? Well, it's fun if I'm on a holiday with someone I love. On sick days? You've have got to be kidding me?? I cant do much at home. Furthermore, if I go out, I have to wear thick make-up due to my unpleasant look. I look like I've being stung by a bee. That's ugly.. and why am I having that look? Perhaps it's my allergies. The best part of being sick is to rest as much as possible..which means..SLEEP!!

How am I treating myself at home? After doing some groceries shopping, I went to look for mp3 player. The real intention of getting it is because I want to transfer most of the songs from my laptop to the mp3 player. Since my laptop is very slow, might as well I transfer the necessary to the mp3.So, I got myself a Creative Zen Vision M 30gb worth 280euros. Expensive but worth buying for. Some say it's better off to get ipod video 30gb than creative mp3. Honestly, I want to buy things which are value for money (VFM). Comparatively between the two brands, I favour more on Creative due to more features than ipod. At least it has radio, microphone (who knows I might do some 'dear diary' or test my singing skills :p). Most importantly, it can play any form of music/video format instead of ipod. But, if I want to get a mp3 player for style and hype..go for ipod then!

Wishing myself to get well as soon as possible and enjoy exploring the functions of my new mp3 player :D

It's been nearly 2 weeks since I left malaysia.

Subangku,Rumahku..gonna miss my hometown so much!although I didnt
get to eat everything.will be getting there when Im home for good.when is the question for now..WHEN AM I GOING BACK FOR GOOD??
Firstly, let me say something about my 3.5weeks holiday in Malaysia. I had the most brilliant holiday as this is the longest holiday I ever had. Get to meet up many friends when im back and spent most of my times at home because most of my friends are working. I cant believe we're not teenagers anymore..ahahaha. god, I miss the old days we had together back in school. Anyway, life goes on babe!

Back to the question..when eh?I used to tell my friends..could be 2009..2010..2011...ok I cant made up my mind. It's not really because I love staying here..it's just that I want to be financially stable when I'm back for good.Which means I really hope to get our(me & hubby) own house at where ever place, good investments, savings for children..ok..I might go back for good by 2012 but keep your finger cross :p For now, while still young, enjoy life while still can.go for holidays you've ever dream
to go(Obviously Im giving the advice to myself,LOL)

What i've done in 2007? i've got my hair done.nice whoaa.. :D. Last weekend, 27jan my housemates, the guys and i went to galway for football tournament. WE WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here to take the opportunity to thank my friends for being there for me when I was in Malaysia. It was a great pleasure to see you all. Hope to see you soon.Miss you and loves you lots!!

Quote of the Day

I found this one over the net~ ;)

It's easy when you are in pain to want to hide from the world. But friends aren't friends because they are "fun in good times". ANYBODY can be fun in good times. Friends are friends because they are THERE FOR YOU in bad times. That is what they are there for! So don't push them away. Tell them you're sad. Go out to dinner with them! Go out dancing with them. Sit home and play Scrabble with them. Watch a movie with them. The more you are out doing things you love, the less you will have time to mope. Remind yourself of the fun things in life, and let life move on.

5 Women Break Their Own Rules
By Marisa Cohen

Breaking Personal Boundaries
My Aunt Lucille has given me a lot of advice over the years, but one bit has always stuck with me: When I announced at age 12 that I would never eat red meat again, she said to me, "Why say never? Why not just say you won't eat red meat today? Then you won't have to go back on your word." And a year later, as I gave in to my overwhelming desire for a cheeseburger, I realized she was right.

I've thought about that conversation often -- especially when I hear someone make a bold statement like "I will never have children," or "I will never live on the West Coast." There's a real difference between declaring your principles ("I would never take drugs or cheat on my husband" are pretty good ones) and setting up nonnegotiable boundaries based on what's right for you at that particular moment in your life. After all, the things that would seem unimaginable at age 25 may become exactly what you want at 35. "Life is a work in progress," explains Patricia A. Farrell, PhD, a psychologist in New Jersey and author of How to Be Your Own Therapist (McGraw-Hill, 2004). "You need to leave yourself some flexibility, because you don't know when a job opportunity, a love connection, or the discovery of a new talent will totally change your perspective."

Here, five women who absolutely, positively swore they would never do something explain how going back on their word helped them move up and move on to a life they had never imagined possible.

"I will never marry someone who doesn't fit my checklist."

"I swore I would never date -- much less marry -- a man who was shorter than me," says five-foot-eight-and-a-half Jennifer Toth, a 31-year-old grad student in Weehawken, New Jersey. "The idea drilled into my head by my friends and my mom was: The guy has to be taller than the girl." Jennifer dated a series of lanky men in college, but when it came to intelligence and personality, none of them measured up to her platonic friend Joseph, who at five feet three inches barely grazed her shoulders. "Joseph was compassionate and funny and had beautiful brown eyes," Jennifer says. "But I couldn't quiet the voice in my head saying, 'What will people think?'"

After six months of friendship, Jennifer and Joseph began a cautious romance. Even as their relationship grew, Jennifer admits that it took at least two years for her to completely banish her misgivings about their height difference. "Eventually I realized that Joseph was everything I had ever wanted, just in a smaller package." So in the fall of 2001, towering over him in heels and poufy hair, Jennifer married Joseph. "Standing at the altar, I thought, This is the greatest thing I've ever done. I knew his height no longer mattered."

Lesson Learned: Don't try to please everyone else. Some nevers grow from a deep place within your soul, but others are implanted early on by outside forces, like the media, your friends and, yes, your mother -- and those are the most negotiable. So how do you clear out the clutter and focus on what's right for you? "Ask yourself, 'If I lived on another planet where no one else would ever see me, would I want to marry this man or take this job or live this life?'" suggests Dana Lightman, PhD, a psychotherapist in Philadelphia and author of POWER Optimism (Power Optimism, 2004). "If the answer is yes, then you should take that path and focus on what makes you happy."

"I will never live in the suburbs."

Kathleen Hands-DiNonno, 38, grew up in the land of minivans and malls, counting the days until she could leave for the nonstop buzz of New York City. "I moved to the city right after college and swore I would never live anywhere else," she recalls. Kathleen even chose the city over her career: When she was 30, her position as an event planner, a job she truly enjoyed, was transferred to Atlanta. "Even though I signed a lease for an apartment there, a couple of weeks before moving, I panicked and backed out."

A few years later, she got married and had a baby, and suddenly her vow never to leave the city felt more like an obstacle. "My husband and I talked about opening our own business and buying a house, and we knew we couldn't afford to do both in New York," she says.
She reluctantly agreed to check out Charlotte, North Carolina, and was surprised to discover that her assumptions about the burbs were false. "The people we met were interesting, and there was great shopping and theater," she says. Kathleen and her husband bought a house with a yard in the suburbs and settled into their new life. "My time in New York City was right for me then," she says. "But this is right for me now."

Lesson Learned: Having children can change your priorities. Swearing everlasting allegiance to a certain lifestyle is common when you're young and eager to define yourself. "But as you get older, you need to reevaluate your situation," says Farrell. "Ask yourself, 'What prompted me to make that vow, and is that still my main concern?'" Making accommodations for a new family doesn't mean you have to completely forsake everything you loved about your single life. "It's important to revisit that old lifestyle in energizing little bits," she says. That can mean getting together with friends for a monthly girls' night out or taking a weekend trip back to New York for a marathon of theatergoing and shoe shopping.

"I will never take financial risks."

Throughout her 20s and 30s, Therese Shechter was all about financial security. She had a good job as a graphic designer at a big Chicago newspaper, a cozy condo, and a membership at an upscale gym. "I used to hire freelancers, and I would always think, How can they live not knowing where their next paycheck is coming from?" recalls Therese, now 44. When a friend invited her to teach journalism in Eastern Europe, she declined. "I had always dreamed of living abroad, but now I owned a condo for crying out loud! I couldn't just pick up and leave!"

Fast-forward a few years, when a breakup with a longtime boyfriend and a rapidly approaching 40th birthday caused Therese to reassess her focus on material comfort. "I didn't want to be on my deathbed regretting things I hadn't done just so I would have enough money to redo my kitchen," she says. A self-proclaimed film geek, Therese decided to attend film school at night. "When I finished, I realized that if I didn't quit and pursue filmmaking, I would be stuck in a job that was 'just okay' for the rest of my life." So she did what she swore she'd never do: She gave up the steady paycheck and began freelancing in design to support herself while she completed her first documentary.

Coming to terms with her new cash-poor lifestyle was one thing -- convincing her friends and family that she hadn't lost her marbles was another matter. "For the first year, I think they were all waiting for me to come to my senses," Therese admits. But trading the fancy gym for workouts at the Y and gourmet dinners for take-out Chinese has paid off in personal satisfaction. "I am infinitely happier now," says Therese. "Who knows? Maybe I'll wind up in Europe after all."

Lesson Learned: Sometimes you have to sacrifice security to achieve happiness. Though you may think that you are mentally prepared to live with diminished resources, you may find it difficult, initially, to get by on less. To cushion the blow, make sure that you have all the details covered, including a workable strategy for paying your rent, a nest egg of savings to cover your living expenses for the first few months, and a fallback plan in case things don't go as expected.
You may also find that you have to constantly reassure skeptical friends and worried relatives that you're making a sound decision. As annoying as this may be, it can actually help, says Dan Neuharth, PhD, a San Francisco-based therapist and author of Secrets You Keep from Yourself (St. Martin's Griffin, 2005). "Not only will it prove you're passionate about your new life plan, but each time you make your case, the dream will become more real for you."

"I will never get married."

Some girls dream of their wedding day. For Jennie Dunham, 37, that dream was more like a recurring nightmare. "Ever since I was little, I was adamant that I was never going to get married," says Jennie, a literary agent in New York City. "I was convinced that the only reason a man would want to get married was to have someone cook and clean for him."

When she fell in love with a musician, "I couldn't make that commitment," Jennie recalls. Eventually, they split. A few years later she met Craig, a computer engineer who loved Jennie's independence but also wanted to get married and start a family. Whenever Jennie brought up the reasons she didn't want to get hitched, Craig countered with the ways they could make marriage work for them. She didn't want a church service? They could write their own ceremony. She didn't want to be a stay-at-home mom? They'd hire an au pair. "I realized it wasn't marriage that I was against, but the traditional role of a wife."

Six years and one child later, Jennie has become a big fan of her own marriage: "Every anniversary, we repeat our vows to reinforce the idea that we chose to be together."

Lesson Learned: Marriage doesn't have to fit a certain mold. "Our goals are usually a combination of what we want to achieve and what we wish to avoid," says Neuharth. But you don't want to let your fears keep you from pursuing the good stuff in life, so experts suggest you list the things that turn you off from an institution such as marriage or parenthood, and then look at each item for acceptable alternatives. If you still see more negatives than positives, then it might be best to stick to your never -- at least until someone inspires you enough to revisit it.

"I will never take a job where I have to wear a suit."

When Kim McWaters was in high school, she imagined her future would involve spangles, tutus, and Broadway lights, not a briefcase and sensible heels. "The corporate world seemed regimented and boring," says the 42-year-old mother of three in Glendale, Arizona. "I wanted to do something I was passionate about." Kim was talented enough to win a musical-theater scholarship, but a pregnancy threw a hitch into her plans. She stayed home to have the baby and enrolled part time in the local college.

To make extra money, Kim took a job answering phones at Universal Technical Institute, an automotive school. But then a funny thing happened. Kim found that she loved talking to the people who called the school. "I started thinking, I could actually like this," she recalls. She stayed at the company, moving to sales and marketing, where she put her theatrical chops to good use creating commercials and videos for the school. Twenty years later, she is the president and CEO of the company.

Kim says the fact that she made the right decision became clear one day when she was talking to an old theater friend who was starring in a Broadway show. "I asked him what it was like, and he said, 'It's just a job.' I have never once thought of my career as being just a job. It makes me think that this is my true calling."

Lesson Learned: Take a good look at the big picture. When you're in the process of switching destinies, you may experience moments of doubt, but if the choice truly makes sense for you, then those feelings will be short-lived. "Imagine yourself 10 years in the future," suggests Neuharth. "By then, the discomfort of going back on your never will have faded, so picture what all the long-run benefits are. Focusing on the positives will help your adjustment."
Best of all, once you knock down that first never, you'll see new opportunities everywhere you look. "When you step out of your traditional role, you open yourself up to completely new adventures in life," says Lightman.

Bon Voyage

Life goes on~

Say Goodbye
by Chris Brown
Baby come here and sit down, let's talk
I got a lot to say so I guess I'll start by
Saying that I love you,
But you know, this thing ain't been
No walk in the park for us
I swear it'll only take a minute
You'll understand when I finish, yeah
And I don't wanna see you cry
But I don't wanna be the one to tell you a lie so
[HOOK]
How do you let it go?
When you, You just don't know? What's on,
The other side of the door
When you're walking out, talk about it
Everything I tried to remember to say
Just went out my head
So I'ma do the best I can to get you to understand
[CHORUS]
There's never a right time to say goodbye
But I gotta make the first move
'Cause if I don't you gonna start hating me
Cause I really don't feel the way I once felt about you
Girl it's not you, it's me
I gotta gotta figure out what I need (oh)
There's never a right time to say goodbye
But we know that we gotta go
Our separate ways
And I know it's hard but I gotta do it,
And it's killing me
Cause there's never a right time
Right time to say goodbye
But now your heart is breaking
And a thousand times I
Found myself asking, "Why? Why?"
Why am I taking so long to say this?
But trust me, girl I never
Meant to crush your world
And I never
Thought I would see the day we grew apart
And I wanna know
[HOOK]
How do you let it go?
When you, You just don't know?
What's on,
The other side of the door
When you're walking out, talk about it
Girl I hope you understand
What I'm trying to say.
We just can't go on
Pretending that we get along
Girl how you not gonna see it?
[CHORUS]
There's never a right time to say goodbye
But I gotta make the first move
'Cause if I don't you gonna start hating me
Cause I really don't feel the way I once felt about you
Girl it's not you it's me.
I gotta gotta figure out what I need (oh)
There's never a right time to say goodbye
But we know that we gotta go
Our separate ways
And I know it's hard but I gotta do it,
And it's killing me
Cause there's never a right time
Right time to say goodbye
Listen to your heart
Girl you know,
We should be apart,
baby I I just can't do it I,
I just can't do it
Listen to your heart
Girl you know,
We should be apart, baby I
I just can't do it
And sometimes it makes me wanna cry
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh [4x]
Do you hear me crying?
[CHORUS]
There's never a right time to say goodbye
But I gotta make the first move
'Cause if I don't you gonna start hating me
Cause I really don't feel the way I once felt about you
Girl it's not you it's me.
I gotta gotta figure out what I need (oh)
There's never a right time to say goodbye
But we know that we gotta go
Our separate ways
And I know it's hard but I gotta do it,
And it's killing me
Cause there's never a right time
Right time to say goodbye
[CHORUS]
There's never a right time to say goodbye
But I gotta make the first move
'Cause if I don't you gonna start hating me
Cause I really don't feel the way I once felt about you
Girl it's not you it's me.
I gotta gotta figure out what I need (oh)
There's never a right time to say goodbye
But we know that we gotta go
Our separate ways
And I know it's hard but I gotta do it,
And it's killing me
Cause there's never a right time
Right time to say goodbye

*Paperweight*

Paperweight by Joshua Radin & Schuyler Fisk

Been up all night staring at you
wondering what's on your mind
i've been this way with so many before
but this feels like the first time
you want the sunrise to go back to bed
i want to make you laugh
mess up my bed with me
kick off the covers i'm waiting

every word you say i think i should write down
don't want to forget come daylight

happy to lay here just happy to be here
i'm happy to know you
play me a song your newest one
please leave your taste on my tongue
paperweight on my back
cover me like a blanket
mess up my bed with me
kick off the covers i'm waiting

every word you say i think i should write down
don't want to forget come daylight
and no need to worry that's wastin time
and no need to wonder what's been on my mind

it's you
it's you
it's you

every word you say i think i should write down
don't want to forget come daylight
and i give up i let you win
you win cause i'm not counting

you made it back to sleep again
wonder what you're dreaming
