iKeA BeLfAsT & the oUtLeT, NeWrY

Weekend is finally here! Not only just another weekend, it's the day I've been waiting for. Finally to Ikea! Due to my unstable gila-ness behaviour, I decided to cut my fringes. It'll grow nicely by the time Im home for holidays..hopefully! (keeping finger crossed!). Sume orang geleng kepala looking at my new fringes. Let me set the new trend!LOL!

Anyway,we started our journey at 9.30am. Sha was suppose to drive but Fali thought he could drive..as he 'test-power' his knee..yeay,can drive already! So sha is his co-driver.Where as me elin n bee laid back. I plak kecoh2 amik gbr the new me.

Tada!

Along the journey,as usual bergossip about our friends, relationships, marriages, shopping at ikea! We brought the catalogue along!HAHA! As sha lead the way we thought we're almost there. Dengan semangat sha asked fali 'Masuk next to Sainsbury's'. With no signs of ikea, Fali felt sthing is not right. So he turned around and stopped at McDonalds to ask for directions. Still a long way to go!Then I plak adding the drama 'g ikut west la'. Where the signage have obviously shown 'west to dublin'..haha

Full of curiosity,we didnt see any sign of ikea untill bee read it loudly. "How to find IKEA Belfast from Dublin"

• Follow the signposts to the M1 (sign posted Belfast).
• At the roundabout take the 1st exit onto the N1 (sign posted Belfast).
• At the border with Northern Ireland, proceed onto the A1 and then
continue onto the M1 to Belfast.
• Approaching Belfast, proceed onto the Westlink and follow the signs for
the M3 (Bangor, City Aiport).
• Continue onto the M3, Sydenham Bypass and then A2 (Belfast to Bangor
Road). Passing the George Best Belfast City Airport, bear left and
continue through the traffic lights and take the next exit on the left for the
Holywood Exchange.

Fali still not confident, so we decided to stop at City Centre and asked for help. Sha & I asked the cabbie. As he explained with his strong Northern Irish accent, we try to have a go.

Screaming excitedly as we finally saw IKEA! We arrived there around 12 something. Everyone have already planned what to buy there. Let's start shopping!

Muka muka tak sabar nak shopping!

This is my 'living room'

This is my 'library room'

After 2.5hours of 'dreaming' & shopping..

These are what I get from IKEA

Fali showing off his beer. Pe nak jadi melayu sekarang!!kidding..hehe that's mine. It's a non-alcoholic pear cider. It tastes like 7-11 tuiti fruiti slurpee. Hrmm..I wonder whether the pear cider is available in Malaysia..hrmmm...

Our lunch for the day.We cooked nasi goreng with egg & chicken nugget.Yummy!

This bridge reminds me of Putrajaya's bridge. But I think putra is much nicer :)

After shopping at ikea, we decided to go shopping( not me, the others! :p) at the Outlet,Newry. FYI I didn't shop like I told you before.I don't find it nice there. I prefer to chill at starbucks after hours of shopping.Had Java Chips frappucino. Sejuk2 kat luar, gatal nk minum sejuk2 :p

Starbucks The Outlet, Newry.

From the Outlet, we decided to have dinner at Shangri-La. the only halal chinese malaysian restaurant we've ever know in Smithfield, Dublin 7.

Buttered king prawns & Salmon Assam Pedas

Beef Kung Po & Chicken with ginger and scallions

Beef Thai Green Curry

Goreng Pisang.Complimentary from the restaurants as we're Malaysian customers :D

What a tiring day! Tired but worth it. At least, to keep away from all the stresses Im going through lately

Sunday: Picnic at Glendalough,Co.Wicklow

Dublin's Park in the Sky

A 'PARK in the Sky' soaring 50 metres above Henry Street and commanding panoramic views across the capital is proposed under a €1.25bn redevelopment of Dublin city centre.

In what could be the biggest regeneration project of O'Connell Street in recent years, the capital's main thoroughfare will be transformed if developer Joe O'Reilly is granted planning permission for an ambitious shopping and restaurant quarter in the heart of the city.

Gone will be Dr Quirkey's Good Time Emporium, the Royal Dublin Hotel and a garda sub-station.

Fashion

Instead, the ' Dublin Central' scheme -- which encompasses the Carlton Cinema site -- hopes to become an Irish Bond Street and home to fashion icons such as Prada, Armani, Tommy Hilfiger and high-end jewellers.

It will also see the first apartments in 250 years being built on O'Connell Street.

After years of legal wrangling over ownership of the 5.5 acre site -- which is bounded by Parnell Street, O'Connell Street, Henry Street and Moore Street -- a development company set up by Joe O'Reilly called Chartered Land has announced it will seek planning permission for a new city quarter by the end of the week.

And the developers say that Moore Street traders have nothing to fear in the redevelopment.

Dominic Deeny, CEO of Chartered Land, says the market will be left in place and it is planned to turn Moore Street into foodie heaven, with specialist food stores opening beside the traders. "We want to encourage the markets to remain, " he said yesterday.

Massive

The massive project will take up to three-and-a-half years to build, and 7,000 people will be employed during the construction stage. Up to 3,000 full-time jobs will be created when it opens in 2013.

In all, 100 shops will be built and 1.7m square feet will be developed, providing 700,000 square feet of retail space.

Two new streets will be created. As yet unnamed, one will link Henry Street to O'Connell Street and be host to high-street retailers such as Zara and Mango; while the other will link O'Connell Street to Moore Street.

The buildings of 14-17 Moore Street -- a national monument used by the leaders of the 1916 Rising for their last stand, will be turned into a commemorative centre.

Two listed buildings -- numbers 42 and 60 O'Connell Street -- will be refurbished and upgraded. An art gallery and performance space will also be created, while the facades of 12 protected structures will be retained.

The Carlton Cinema facade will be moved 50 metres north and become the main entrance to an anchor tenant, who will occupy a 200,000 sq ft store -- about the size of Debenham's on Henry Street.

A restaurant quarter on the fifth storey, overlooking the new streets, will be home to 17 cafes and restaurants. More than 100 apartments will be built, and social and affordable homes will be provided on site.

A thousand underground car parking spaces, accessible from Parnell Street, are also proposed.

Apartments

But at the heart of the project is the Park in the Sky. A triangular building, home to 40 apartments and 12 storeys high, it will have a sloped roof on which the park will be built. Each side will be screened with glass panels, and it will be 50 metres at its highest point.

"We see this as being an 18-hour a day development," Mr Deeny said. "We want it to be primarily a family place. The whole idea is to draw people to the scheme, and it is to encourage tourists to come to this part of the city. We see this going from 5am when the markets open, to 1am when last orders in the restaurant are taken."

A planning application will be lodged with Dublin City Council by the end of the week.
Remark: And I'm lucky to live nearby the Central! :D

€5 to USA

I'll go mad if this happen to me!

From RTE News Today

Aer Lingus commercial director Enda Corneille has told RTE News that the number of bookings which it has cancelled as a result of a pricing error on its website is close to 300, significantly more than the airline previously estimated.

The airline also points out that a booking may involve more than one person travelling, leaving Aer Lingus exposed to a far greater potential financial loss on the affected flights than might generally be perceived.

Earlier, the airline told customers who booked business class flights to the US for just €5 that their bookings had been cancelled. Aer Lingus said the flights - which were advertised on the Aer Lingus website yesterday - were priced incorrectly due to a technical error. Aer Lingus has apologised for the error.

Aer Lingus had previously said the glitch affected around 100 customers between 7.30am and 9am on Wednesday, when promotional fares on its transatlantic route were loaded onto the website accidentally.

The airline says that on legal advice it has decided not to compensate the customers. In e-mails and text messages to the customers, Aer Lingus said: 'Due to a technical error in our reservation system for a brief period a small number of bookings were priced incorrectly. This e-mail is to notify you of cancellation of your booking and to advise no funds will be deducted from your account.'

But speaking on RTE Radio today, Dermot Jewell of the Consumers Association said that customers had a binding contract with Aer Lingus. 'They booked and paid to bind the contract. Realistically Aer Lingus is going to have to do something to abide by the bookings and to help the customers,' he added.

Enda Corneille, Director of Corporate Affairs at Aer Lingus, said anyone who booked a business class ticket, which usually retails at about €1,775, and got it so cheaply, should know there was a mistake.

'When you are selling seats on the front of the site quite openly for €249, to sell a business class seat for a fiver is a genuine mistake. People are going to know there's something up,' he stated.

The CEO of the National Consumer Agency, Ann Fitzgerald, says she has been in contact with Aer Lingus and is seeking a meeting with senior management at the airline to discuss the controversy over cancelled bookings.

From a guy's view and girls,read this!

Guys don't care if you're friends with other guys.

But when you're sitting next to us,
and some random guy walks into the
room and you jump up and tackle him,
without even introducing us, yeah, it
pisses us off.

It doesn't help if you sit there and
talk to him for ten minutes without
even acknowledging the fact that we're
still there.

We don't care if a guy calls OR TEXTS
you, but at 2 in the morning we do get
a little concerned.

Nothing is that important at 2 a.m.
that it can't wait
till the morning.

Also, when we tell you you're pretty/
beautiful/ gorgeous/
cute/ stunning, we freaking mean it.

Don't tell us we're wrong.
We'll stop trying to convince you.

The sexiest thing about a girl is
confidence.

Yeah, you can quote me.

Don't be mad when we hold the door
open. Take Advantage of the mood I'm
in.

let us pay for you!
don't "feel bad"
We enjoy doing it.
It's expected.

Smile and say "thank you."

Kiss us when no one's watching.
If you kiss us when you know
somebody's looking, we'll be more
impressed.

You don't have to get dressed up for
us.

If we're going out with you in the
first place, you don't have to feel
the need to
wear the shortest skirt you have or
put on every kind of makeup you own.

We like you for who you are and not
what you are.
honestly, i think a girl looks more
beautiful when she's just in her pj's.
or my
shirt and boxers, not all dolled up

Don't take everything we say
seriously. [=))]

Sarcasm is a beautiful thing. See the
beauty in it.

Don't get angry easily.

Stop using magazines/media as your
bible.

"Don't talk about how hot Chris Brown,
Brad Pitt, or Jesse McCartney is in
front of us".
It's boring, and we don't care. You
have friends for that.

Whatever happened to the
word "handsome"/"beautiful"

i'd be utterly stunned by a girl who
greeted me
with "Hey handsome!" instead of "Hey
baby/ stud/ cutie/ sexy" or whatever
else you can think of.
on the other hand I'm not saying i
wouldn't like it ether ; )

Girls, I cannot stress this enough: if
you aren't being treated right by a
guy, won't wait for him to change.
ditch his sorry ASS,he's a disgrace to
the male population and find someone
who will treat you with utter respect.

Someone who will honor your morals.

Someone who will make you smile when
you're at your lowest.

Someone who will care for you even
when you make mistakes.

Someone who will love you, no matter
how bad you make them feel.

Someone who will stop what they're
doing just to look you in the
eyes....and say "i love you" ..and
actually mean it.

Give the nice guys a chance.

Guys repost this if you agree

Girls repost this if you think it's
cute

Every Guy who isn't a jerk will agree
with this, so we hope that all the
girls that read this will repost this

*Holding Hands
Girls :If you want to hold his hand,
gently bump into it a couple of
times.
Guys : Grab it if it happens more than
once.

*Cuddling
Girls : When you want to cuddle with
him, tell him you're cold
Guys : Automatically move closer to
her.

*Movies
Girls : During a movie, if he puts his
arm around you, tilt your head on his
shoulder
Guys : Lift her chin up and kiss her.

*Loving each other
Guys : When she tells you she loves
you, look deep into her eyes, give her
a peck on the lips, and tell her you
love her
too... And mean it.

*Laying below the stars
Girls : When you're both laying under
the stars, put your head on his chest
and close your eyes as you listen to
his steady heart beat
Guys : Whisper in her ear and link
your hands with hers.

By 12 am tonight your one true love
will realize how much they want you.

Can you believe this forwarded piece? It's nice to read though ^_^

Call Girl

I started watching The Secret Diary of a Call Girl from fanpop website. Fanpop is where you can watch most tv series there. It has 8 episodes, runs 30minutes. You may view her blog.

Do you think Sufiah Yusuf aka Shilpa lee got inspired from her? To do unethical (it's against our religion fyi) thing to earn money faster..it does work for her. But would she want to do that for the rest of her life? Wait..wait..you obviously dont have a clue what am I talking about..this is what everyone is talking about..

Sufiah Yusuf is a bright student who won a place at Oxford University at age of 12. She was expected to be 'rich' due to her intelligence but sadly she found doing 'escourt' are more money-making! You can find more stories at News of the World.

I refuse to comment her much as I saw the Belle De Jour's life which is quite simliar to Sufiah. I just hope that she's able to find someone who can bring her back to the right path or realise that life isn't about selling bodies to sex hungers. Life is about embracing moments happening around you while still can.

The moral of the story? Dont pressure too much on your children no matter how perfect you want them to be. Let them acknowledge what's happening around them and making mistakes is not the end of the world.Making mistakes is good as you learning to do the right thing. But dont make too many mistakes okay! Things may become the other way round! See, like me.Very independent (if it wasnt my parents send me off here!). Guess sometimes spoil brats deserve to learn to see the world! =p

PaddY's DaY!

Went to this event:

Event: Arts Council Céilí Mór
Location: Earlsfort Terrace, Dublin 2
Admission: Free
TIme: 2.30pm – 5.30pm

This head-spinning, foot-twirling afternoon of Irish dancing is a uniquely Irish phenomenon. Thousands of people will be kicking up their feet to the infectious sounds of the Matt Cunningham Céilí Band and Seamus Begley with Tim Edey. Dance displays will be provided by Baltrasna with additional Sean-nós dance displays provided by Chlann Uí Chuinneagáin. Dáithí Ó Sé will be Fear a’Tí for the day at this, the liveliest outdoor Irish music and dance event in the world. This year’s Céilí Mór is an event that will have your smile lasting long after the music fades.

Chlann Uí Chuinneagáin/ The Cunningham Family
Brian, Irene, Aisling, Mícheál MacDara and Lorraine are a young family of Sean Nós dancers from Cashel in Connemara. The Cunningham's have made numerous television appearances and are in great demand up and down the country. In recent years they have been asked to accompany President Mary McAleese on State Visits.

Daithí Ó Sé

Daithí Ó Sé is best known as a weather presenter and continuity announcer on TG4 though his many talents have led to his appearance on shows such as Celebrity You’re a Star in 2006 and on Celebs Go Wild in 2007. Daithí is also one of the faces of the Seachtain na Gaeilge Festival.

Matt Cunningham Céilí Band
Galway based Matt Cunningham and his band are well-known in Ireland, England, and America as one of the finest and most respected bands playing music for Irish Dancing and their 12-CD Dance Music of Ireland series continues to be an invaluable resource for dancers and enthusiasts alike. With numerous albums and a platinum disc to their credit, they have entertained such
illustrious audiences as America’s Kennedy Family and are looking forward to wowing audiences at the 2008 St. Patrick’s Festival.

Seamus Begley and Tim Edey
The dynamic duo of Irish traditional music. West Kerry accordion-player and singer, Seamus Begley is one of the most popular performers in the Irish traditional music world. He is joined by the sensational guitar player Tim Edey. The Irish Times have described Begley as “a force of nature” – so come prepared to dance!

Baltrasna

Making a welcome return to the Céilí Mór, Baltrasna are old style set dancers from the Céilí House dances of the Clare traditions in Meath.

Remark:People there are mad and we had fun!Dancing and jumping non stop..ouch..my legs are soared!

Later,my friends and i went to Kebab Klub to have 'picnic' there since all the parks are closed.I guess they dont want people to make a mess there.Litters were everywhere..A bit 'potong' yesterday as it was really nice chilly sunny weataher.

Important part is that I had fun =D

leo for the day..

It may be time to reassess a complex relationship that involves jointly
held resources. You may even need to remove yourself from the situation in order
to gain control of your life. But letting go of an attachment may not be easy,
even with your newly discovered strength. Make the most of this moment, for it
will probably be harder if you don't take action today.

Anak Halal

I have no idea what was the movie about as I didn't read the sypnosis. There were multitasking going on (helping fali to pack-today is the big day!Good luck on the knee operation.happy staying in bed! :p) and watching it from the laptop. The movie was obviously taken from the cinema. It's so blurr that even wearing specs doesnt seem to help.

The storyline was..I wouldn't say best nak mampos like some reviews do.It's a good movie I would say for our local to direct. It really shows how average people living in a suburban.Honestly, it's kinda freaks me out to see 'loan sharks threat' and 'their area'. I strongly avoid those loan sharks no matter how broke I am. Also,I will raise my children with full attention! And erm...trying not to spoil them too much. Whatever it is,I wouldn't want my children to be like Atikah(Fasha Sandha).Tak pasal2 mati camtu jek..Opps,spoilers! :p

Where I Stood

Featured in Smallville (not sure which season & episode),One Tree Hill(Season 5 Episode 5) and Lipstick Jungle(Season 1 Episode 2).

Title: Where I Stood
Artist: Missy Higgins

I don't know what I've done
Or if I like what I've begun
But something told me to run
And honey you know me it's all or none

There were sounds in my head
LIttle voices whispering
That I should go and this should end
Oh and I found myself listening

'Cos I dont know who I am, who I am without you
All I know is that I should
And I don't know if I could stand another hand upon you
All I know is that I should
'Cos she will love you more than I could
She who dares to stand where I stood

See I thought love was black and white
That it was wrong or it was right
But you ain't leaving without a fight
And I think I am just as torn inside

'Cos I dont know who I am, who I am without you
All I know is that I should
And I don't know if I could stand another hand upon you
All I know is that I should
'Cos she will love you more than I could
She who dares to stand where I stood

And I won't be far from where you are if ever you should call
You meant more to me than anyone I ever loved at all
But you taught me how to trust myself and so I say to you
This is what I have to do

'Cos I dont know who I am, who I am without you
All I know is that I should
And I don't know if I could stand another hand upon you
All I know is that I should
'Cos she will love you more than I could
She who dares to stand where I stood
Oh, she who dares to stand where I stood

Definitely, Maybe

Synopsis:

Will Hayes, a 30-something Manhattan dad is in the midst of a divorce when his 10 year old daughter, Maya, starts to question him about his life before marriage. Maya wants to know absolutely everything about how her parents met and fell in love. Will's story begins in 1992, as a young, starry-eyed aspiring politician who moves to New York from Wisconsin in order to work on the Clinton campaign. For Maya, Will relives his past as a idealistic young man learning the ins and outs of big city politics, and recounts the history of his romantic relationships with three very different women. On the campaign, Will's best buddy is Russell McCormack. They not only have similar political aspirations, they share the same type of girl problems, too. Will hopelessly attempts a "PG" version of his story for his daughter ad changes the names so Maya has to guess who he finally married. Is her mother Will's college sweetheart, the dependable girl next-door Emily? Is she his longtime best friend and confidante, he apolitical April? Or is she the free-spirited but ambitious journalist? As Maya puts together the pieces of her dad's romantic puzzle, she begins to understand that love is not so simple or easy. And as Will tells her his tale, Maya helps him to understand that it's definitely never too late to go back...and maybe even possible to find a happy ending.

Review: This movie is so sweet. Like the way he tells Maya about his past life with three different girls. You can also see how 'blurr' is Will is..you'll know what i mean when you watch this movie :)

Broke down

Do you know how pressure it is to accumulate all the matters in your mind? You feel like turning to someone but he/she couldn't be there. At very ultimate point, you feel like break down and cry right?

Well, I'm right there now. Sigh~

Worse the weather seems to be like me...at one point it's sunny, then gloomy,snowing...and back in the circle of weirdness..this is madness!I can't cope like this anymore!

Fly Away by Nelly

[Nelly Talking]
Free City
This is a shout out to every young brother ya know
Thats doin his thing right now
Keep ya head up...
He's walkin the yard wishin he had wings
Ya know so he could fly up out that joint
Man

[Intro]
If I could, fly away
Ooo and I wouldn't come back no more
I, I'd turn around,
Just to see you for the last time,
See, now I know
Hey, that it won't be easy
I done fought in a battle, and I done made it this far
I gotta few more feet, but its still the longest yard

[Verse 1]
Man, it's the longest yard I ever had to get in my life
And see my life ain't right, if my wife don't write
My niggas cant eat if the fish don't bite
My raise the gross sales, like Mike and Ike
Now big brother almighty
I keep a gamma ray, i'ma G-5 G
Take a G-5 jeep, G-5 deep
Too some of their bare feet
And that jeep don't speak
Listen mayne they lock it down round herre
See body bag and gag and your found round herre
This as serious as it sound round herre
The guards guard the ground, 4 pounds round herre
And they ain't playin, they're just lettin you know
That anything they want to happen, nigga happen real slow
Get the word from upstairs, put you in that hole
I cant take it, I'm just ready to go

[Chorus]
If I could, fly away
Ooo and I wouldn't come back no more
I, I'd turn around,
Just to see you for the last time,
See, now I know
Hey, that it won't be easy
I done fought in a battle, and I done made it this far
I gotta few more feet, but its still the longest yard
Yeah yeah, its still the longest yard
Uh uh, its still the longest yard
Um um, its still the longest yard
I done fought in a battle and I done made it this far

[Verse 2]
I'm in my cell 20 hours a day
And doin push-ups ever hour a day
Cause im tryin to keep the cowards away
Thats why im markin off the calendar days
Tryin to get it out of the way
And im just tryin to keep a piece of mine
And im gon shame a motherfucker with a piece of mine
Cause he tryin to take a piece of mine
So im gon slice his ass a piece at a time
But now that they close the door
Lock me in, in a cell 30 deep but its built for 10
Tell me what kind of world they got you in
With the barbed wire fences, box u in
From now, til they turn off the lights
I'ma read anything in sight
Its kinda hard tryin to read at night
But I'ma change my life
And hope another brother take this flight

[Chorus]

[Verse 3]
(Oohh no) I gotta make it out this place some how
(Oohh no) Man I really believe that I done turned it around
(Oohh no) You see, all I need is that second chance to show,
since I crossed the ration, my obligation of rehabilitation
(Oohh no) They can punch me high, and they can kick me low
(Oohh no) Spit on me, it's gonna take more than that for them to break my soul
(Oohh no) Man its hard for people to understand what its like to be,
gated, incarcerated , I just cant take it, but I'ma make it man to see better days

[Chorus]

[Hook]
If I could fly away,
If I could I turn around,
If I could fly away

Connected or disconnected?

Feeling disconnected is the worst feeling people would come across. To me, it's hard to reconnect when he/she disconnected badly. Especially when unfavorable things happened to her/him. There are several reasons why these happen:

  1. Family.
Why don't we get their blessings?Maybe sometimes it's pretty obvious that the partner is not the one. Or maybe the partner doesn't please the family well. And other family reasons which I can't figure out now.

  2. Partner/You.
When partners have inverse opinions (as in really really contra), it's very tough to work it out. Here are the two possibilities that might happen. It's either you suffer for the rest of your life or leave the partner and find someone else that can actually connected with you well.

  3. Third person.
This person only appear when you are bored or can't get along with the partner anymore. You decide to have a new life.To break the routine. And no wonder affairs felt great! Great enough to like someone else & hurt the partner at the same time.

A friend told me that:

"Your heart is like a glass. When the glass breaks, it will never be the same
as before".

True, but what if he/she is the one for you & you can't live without? There's no harm to reconnect/reconcile. So, if he/she trying his/her best to keep it going or reconnect when it's disconnected (applicable to the couple who still madly in love with each other & inseperable), then be with him/her and love dearly. Who knows, he/she might be the one in your life.

HTC..Brilliant!!!

This one would be one of my options as well :)

p/s: As long as the mobile is slimmer, slide & better specs than my SE k750i :D

Forum Accountant 2008

Future Prospects and Challenges as Accountants

Date: 26 January 2008, 11am-1.30pm
Venue: Dublin Business School
Panel: Harith/Cipan, Iskandar Tariq, Andy, Fuad(AF3)

This is the first time where the forum being conducted by KUD(Kelab UMNO Dublin). So, as a future qualified accountant, I took the oppoturnity to go there just to hear them out about their experiences here.

They talked about their career & challenges they have been through. Cipan & Iskandar are working in practice whereas Andy & Fuad are working in financial services/commercial. There are a bit of debate regarding on differences of working in those two environment. All I can say here, it depends on where do you want to go? If you think you have a better prospect in practice, you work there. Same as financial services.

The advantage of working in small practice is that you learn a lot from there. You basically learn everything from scratch. Not trying to brag myself, it is the fact. For instance, if you compare yourself(working in small firm) to your friend(working in medium/big firm), your friend might not even have a clue on what are you talking about (say P60-Borang J in Malaysia). Why is that? Because when you work in bigger firm, you are more specialised. You don't need to know everything(that could be one of the drawback on working in big firm).

Some may found it's a waste of time to work in small practice because of the small pay. It is true, but you'll be rewarded once you're qualified/part-qualified.FYI, by the end of the day, CEOs,Managers will look for people with good 'grounding' of the business. Some may found working in practice will sharpen your technical skills.I think that will be depending on the company. If you think you can't progress yourself anymore or bored, move forward.Find a job where do you want to go for.

I think I know where to go to from here and I think I can see clearly where I'm gonna be in 2 years time(trying hard not to be too ambitious..knowing myself with a hangat hangat tahi ayam attitude =p).For a start, I should be looking AND reading materials about business surrounding globally. Not trying to be a nerd but knowledgeable.A drop dead gorgeous with full of knowledge :)

Recent event which has become a biggest hit around Europe.Hehe.. =p

Societe General

エビ天ぷらこんにちは! (hello prawn tempura!)

I had these yesterday for dinner. Not outside, but I cooked it!Hehe..it's so simple that even a school kid can fry these prawn tempura. What you need is :

king tiger prawns (peeled & deveined)
tempura batter (corn flour, plain flour, egg, cold soda water/ice)

ok..why soda water/ice? the purpose of these is to make the batter more crispy & fluffy. Well that's what I've been told by the chef in BBC channel =D

First, sift the flours into a big bowl. Add egg & cold soda water into it.Mix it well together but not too well because we want the batter to be fluffy when fried. In other words, it's okay for the batter to be lumpy.

Then, heat oil into large saucepan or wok. Dip the prawn into the batter and deep fry it. This is how you know whether the prawn is cooked.

When you deep fry, the prawn is 'sleeping'. NB:it is advisable to not put in many. Why? You'll see why.
Now the purpose of not putting many prawns in it because we want the prawns to be able to 'swim' around. When you see these, it means it is cooked & ready to be drained.

Tadaa! My very first attempt of making prawn tempura! =D

Pre-Marriage Course..Final Part

On the 20 Jan, it started from 9.00-1.00pm. The ustaz talked about the idea of family. It was very informative and I feel the 'fear'. Fear on building own family. Ustaz said it's common to argue more between man & wife. Well, I'm ok about that. I'm just worried on how to raise a child. I'm guessing my friends who are married also faced this fear at first and eventually manage to deal with it.

Then he discussed about various real-life examples of marriage problems. Some may seems 'wtf?!', but hey..no one is perfect.Hopefully I have no problem in my marriage, I mean I know no one want to ask for problems. That would be one of the reasons why I'm not ready for marriage.I admit I fear my marriage won't last long,to be clear..fear for commitments.

I totally sure of myself that my heart will open up to marriage when I certainly sure that he's the one.Amin..

Done curik tulang..back to work! =p

Pre-Marriage Course..Part 1

In order to get married in Malaysia, we Malays have to take pre-marriage course before solumnised(nikah). Some of my friends said that to take this course, you might be in the waiting list. So, how am I gonna get out of this 'waiting list'?

Luckily in Dublin, we hired an ustaz (religious lecturer) from UK to conduct the course which is today(19.01.08) & tomorrow(20.01.08). Am I getting married? Certainly not in the couple of months time. I'm just registering myself just to get the certificate!Hehehe. Also, most people(including me) want to avoid the test based on the pre-marriage course.(Buruk betul perangai.LOL!) And so, we pay E15.00 for the 2 days course.

It was held at Malaysian Hall Dublin. Starts at 9.00-4.00pm (as per schedule). Unfortunately, it started a bit later as ustaz overslept!LOL. We enjoyed the course as he's a very easy going ustaz who jokes around. I like the cute cartoons after each topics discussed. Hehe.

So far, today he talks about the whole idea of marriages & divorces. During lunch break, I couldn't help myself discussing with my friends about our 'engagement' & 'wedding' gonna be like. I think I have the idea of my engagement gonna be like. I will reveal when the time comes. ^_^ (to be frank, I keep changing the idea of my engagement, that's why I'm not revealing now.LOL!)

Part 2 will be continued tomorrow..

Come Home

Artist: One Republic
Song Title: Come Home
Taken from OST Gossip Girl

[Verse 1]
Hello world
Hope you're listening
Forgive me if I'm young
For speaking out of turn
There's someone I've been missing
I think that they could be
The better half of me
They're in their own place trying to make it right
But I'm tired of justifying
So i say you'll..

[Chorus]
Come home
Come home
Cause I've been waiting for you
For so long
For so long
And right now there's a war between the vanities
But all i see is you and me
The fight for you is all I've ever known
So come home
Oooh

[Verse 2]
I get lost in the beauty
Of everything i see
The world ain't as half as bad
As they paint it to be
If all the sons
If all the daughters
Stopped to take it in
Well hopefully the hate subsides and the love can begin
It might start now..Yeahh
Well maybe I'm just dreaming out loud
Until then

[Chorus]
Come home
Come home
Cause I've been waiting for you
For so long
For so long
And right now there's a war between the vanities
But all i see is you and me
The fight for you is all I've ever known
Ever known
So come home
Oooh

[Interlude]
Everything i can't be
Is everything you should be
And that's why i need you here
Everything i can't be
Is everything you should be
And that's why i need you here
So hear this now

[Chorus]
Come home
Come home
Cause I've been waiting for you
For so long
For so long
And right now there's a war between the vanities
But all i see is you and me
The fight for you is all I've ever known
Ever known
So come home
Come home

Horrible day...EVER!!

My parents have finally touchdown from performing Haji in Mekah. I got up in the morning, picked up the phone and ring home. Waiittt...why am I not at work?I'm on MC for 2 days since yesterday.Food poisoning. So I wasn't at work since Wednesday. This is definitely not a great year to start!

Back to my conversation with mom. It was grant at start until she broke the news about our home was broke-in!I was totally speechless, unsure how to react. My mum was totally surprised that I didn't know about this. She thought I might found out from my brother.Silly him!! He's gonna be dead when I'm back!Hahaha-kidding!

Basically, the bloody fucking burglars took my mom's jeweleries, cashes, cameras, nice clothes, dad's retirement gift -keris, car keys - proton saga only!!, mom's IC, and I think that just it. Just updated with my bro, the fuckers happen to be robbed my house TWICE! My parents left for Mekah on the 11 Dec and the incident happened on the 12th & 14th. I'm not sure who to blame, but erm..it's so irresponsible to let that happen TWICE!
.My bro went home on the 15th from his uni, in shocked, quickly lodged a report to the police & went to his friend's house, asking his friend a favour to stay over with him at my house. Well, that explained why the sudden friends wanted to accompany him over the weekend.sigh~

Even people here (in Ireland) help strangers. Why? Because people here help with sincere. It's amazing why Malaysian can't do the same. Do you have a problem with trust? What if anything bad happen to you, wouldn't you want to help? Instead, being a coward and mind your own business. For fuck sake, that doesn't work to me. How can you be fucking selfish?! Here's the thing.

TO ALL FUCKING SELFISH MALAYSIAN! FOR ONCE, PLEASE BE HELPFUL WHEN SOMEONE IN TROUBLE RATHER THAN IGNORE IT. IMAGINE WHAT IF THAT HAPPEN TO YOU?DOES THAT EVEN OCCUR IN YOUR MIND??FUCKK!!

I wish that I'm at home right now. Being there for my family.Especially my mom.sigh...I wouldn't mind to go home straight, if I have the money..sigh..

girls

St Trinian's

You will go mental when you watch this movie. It's hilarious to see these mischievous girls in action, the wacky headmistress(Rupert Everett) also the charming minister(Collin Firth) =D. You might want to think zillion times to sent your girls to that school. It's fiction by the way.
To conclude, it's a good one.

To have an inconsiderate employer who couldn't care less for her son, Annie(Scarlett Johansson) seem to be very strong nanny in the beginning till the end. I was very impress to see her hanging there with that rascal brat, but eventually they get along. Interesting movie I would say =)

what's on my mind?

  1. To be in a different environment where I can be progress myself
  2. To be the one for him.
  3. To be able to see and work out my 5 years planning
  4. Being thankful for everything I have now
  5. Ignore age accomplishment and just go with the flow
  6. To live life with happiness & sadness. It's a karma thing.
  7. To face reality and accepting everything happen for a reason.
  8. To ensure myself that I am not weak because of him, it's because of me.
  9. Willingness to make sacrifices with a certain of limits.
  10. Although it is a bad start for me this year, it doesn't mean the world has comes to the end. My time will come.

Shopping:aid for depression?

How do you deal yourself when you are depress?Chocolates?Crying?Alone?Shopping?

It depends..
As for me, I try to avoid chocolates(because it's fattening) although some say it helps to ease the sadness.

Crying? Im a cry baby. I get very emotional when things do not go as I expected.

Alone? I've been there. I wouldn't want to be alone very long as it doesn't seem healthy. I didn't mean by jumping into another relatioship soon, it's more like..'move on'. Like most people say, easier said than done.

Shopping? As far as I'm aware, when I gone mad..ok,spend some money!(that includes when im broke as well). For me, shopping helps me reduce stress. Not only that, shopping is in my biggest vice!hahaha..

Last thurday, I got myself DKNY sling bag from e95 to e47.50! Today I bought Wallis accessories for e20! I think I got at least 5 accessories for the price of 1! So, I guess you understand why I go mad for shopping! :D

Big Q: Where does the money come? Well, let just say I got the money from Santa. Hehe, not kidding you.Santa gave me e250.00 gift voucher. So..that's explain the shopping madness?

Not really.I'm just about to becoming a shopaholic.(DUH..I am a shopaholic NOW!) =p

It all started when I shopped MNG stuffs for RM550 in 30minutes! Yes, not kidding you. My mum even said to me 'Mama dulu shopaholic,so ok la kalau awak shopping'. My assumption: I was home for short break.Earnings in euros. So,it's okay for my mum to 'kikis' my money. WTH, I can hardly shop before (because I have no money, DUH!) But then again, I still didn't shop much when I start working. Maybe it's because of someone. So partly I become a shopaholic because of mama.

It is no biggie deal to me. To me, bila lagi nak shopping? When you're into the next phase(building own family),you wouldn't be able to shop for yourself more compare to shopping when you are single.Or maybe more exciting? Especially dressing up your kids.hrmm.. ^_^

Also, it's fun to go shopping with your partner. Not because we want to dig in their money. It because the feeling of..I can hardly describe it.hehe..

LeO fOr tOdaY!

You aren't as emotional as others today, but this doesn't mean that your life settles down. You are entering a new relationship phase in which you can be less demanding and more detached. Romance may be less important now than independence. Try replacing your shifting moods with a more logical way of dealing with others.

25 tips for relationship success

What's the key to successful relationships? Here, Susan Quilliam reveals the simple things you need to know to deepen your partnership and make your relationship work

1. Without quality time, your relationship will not survive. Carve out at least half an hour a night, and at least one day a month when you the two of you spend time exclusively together.

2. You will both need security, comfort. A good relationship is built on compromise and a great deal of give and take on both sides.

3. Keep your dependence and independence in balance. Tell and show your partner how much you need him, but don't cling, as that can make your partner feel trapped.

4. Encourage him to listen to you, by showing appreciation when he does. By the same token, show interest when he talks to you. Be aware that most men aren't mentally programmed for conversation in the way women are. They need more silence and internal time.

5. Make him appreciate you. Don't wait for a spontaneous compliment, but say something good about yourself and ask for his agreement.

6. Teach him, preferably early in your relationship, exactly how to give you a fail-safe orgasm because it's unlikely he'll find out alone. If you don't yet know yourself, find out.

7. Learn to do the one thing that is most likely to restore good feeling in your relationship - giving your partner a genuine, loving and approving smile.

8.Often those subtle quirks that first attracted you to your partner can, with time, turn around and become toe-curlingly annoying habits. Learn to love him, warts and all.

9. Hidden resentments poison a relationship; so if something bothers you, say it. Remember that while men are wary of emotional conversations, they love to find solutions. Express your problem and then ask him to help you find the answer.

10. Learn that punishing your partner won't work. It may make you feel better to give him a hard time, but it will actually make him dig his heels in more. A better tactic is to reward the things you like and ignore what you don't like.

11. Money is the number one cause of couple conflict. For a relationship to work, you need to address your finances and work out a budget.

12. If the domestic work is not divided fairly between you, it will cause friction in your relationship. Make a list of the domestic tasks, talk it through with your partner and mobilise the whole family, your partner included, to share the work.

13. If you have children, involve your partner as much as possible with the childcare - even if you feel he's not as good as it at you are. It's important to present a united front to your children.

14. Sort out your sex life. The sex may ebb and flow over the years, but if sex starts going downhill, don't just accept it. As soon as you notice a slide, question why and then work at bringing the passion back.

15. Don't assume you won't be tempted to have an affair as almost everyone is. You need to learn to resist. If you do stray, don't feel it spells the end of your relationship. Most couples recover, particularly from a one-night-stand, and often find that unrooting the cause of the affair helps them to get even closer. So, you need to learn to resist. But don't think that an affair is the end of everything.

16. Remember that boredom typically covers up anger. If you feel bored with him, ask yourself what you're angry about.

17. Be aware that men generally feel overwhelmed by emotion more than women do. If he's angry or tearful, half an hour's 'unflooding' time to himself will help get his balance back and make him more able to interact positively with you.

18. Learn how to argue well. The trick is to never say anything that you wouldn't want to hear said to you.

19. Research suggests you need five positive experiences to erase the memory of one negative experience. So give five kind words for each bitchy comment. Give five hugs for each cold shoulder.

20. Learn how to negotiate. Each of you states what you want, then both of you work together to find a way forward.

21. Accept the things that won't change. Some characteristics about your partner are there for life - and you have to face that.

22. Learn to forgive. If you know you will never forgive your partner over something important, then give him - and yourself - a break and start again, with someone else.

23. Realise that the two of you will shift and change over the years. So, even if you think you understand him, or believe you have agreements sorted, check regularly - at least once a year - to make sure that neither of you has changed your mind.

24. Know when to leave. If your life aims are incompatible, there are heavy drugs or violence around, or if there is consistently more pain than pleasure, then walk before the relationship destroys you.

25. Don't think that going to counselling equals failure. It can turn a bad relationship around. It can turn an average relationship into a brilliant one.
